July 17th, 2330 hours. I was still fighting with my sister over why she has agreed to marry. It was upsetting as she is really close to me and I didn’t want her to go away because of that. I soon slept.

Woke up at 730 in the morning unaware of what July 18 had in place for me. Went to aunt and again started arguing that it’s too early to look into prospects of marriage for sister. To piss aunty off, I kiddishly said that I’ll make sure the marriage never happens and will ruin it. Aunt gave me back the classical reaction; she screwed me up with a series of screams explaining me that one should never wish and think like that when something auspicious is around the corner. I discarded her words and left for my place as I was supposed to get my bike. I was scheduled to pick my sister up in the noon and join a family get together where my sister’s presence was required for some weird reason. My place is a 20 minute drive from there so I got into a ‘share’ auto. The auto guy was reluctant to pick my route as he was sure that there won’t be many people to pick. I assured him confidently that it’s not true. So we started. 10 minutes passes nobody got on and I realized he was already staring back at me through the rear view mirror with a grin and I managed a smile somehow. 5 minutes from my place and I was happy that I t won’t be long before I get rid of this guy and out of nowhere, a traffic police comes up and stops out auto and penalizes my auto guy for not wearing the kakhi coat. “There you go”, I thought. Another healthy reason for him to be pissed at me.

People tend to grow with a huge pool of ideas and dreams about what they wish to do with their lives. These dreams feel full of life through out. But it is sad to realize that only a few of these people put an attempt to realize their dreams and a fewer more who actually convert their dreams to reality. So what differentiates these people? Is it opportunity? Or is it their outlook? The most apt answer to these questions would be their ‘passion’. View full article »

HEART IN THE MIRAGE

Life has so much to offer to everybody. People often tend to conclude that every one of the moments in their lives are in some way or the other related to those ‘life changing’ moments. I was one among those kind of people. I grew up believing that the beauty of the world around you and the warmth that it brings along can be felt in every second of ones life and that one just needs to peep around the corner for them. But that day, everything just changed. She led me to a world of Topsy Turvy craziness. View full article »
